About MVAAF
An institution built to industrialise Africa's minerals
The Mining Value Addition Acceleration Facility exists to move mineral processing, refining and manufacturing onshore — by assembling the capital, technology and government alignment each project needs.
The mandate
From endowment to industry
Africa holds decisive shares of the minerals that will power the next industrial era. Yet the value chain stages that convert endowment into GDP, employment and industrial capability remain concentrated elsewhere.
MVAAF operates at the junction where projects, capital, technology and policy must meet. We originate and screen value-addition opportunities, structure them into bankable form, and align the partners required to reach financial close and delivery.
We are pragmatic and investment-oriented: the measure of the facility is projects financed, plants built and value retained in-country.
Every engagement is tested against one question — does it move a mineral further along the chain, inside Africa?
